📄 Terms & Conditions – Key Things You Need to Know

We know Terms & Conditions aren’t the most exciting read – but this page contains important information about your rights, responsibilities, and how we do business.

🔑 Key Terms (Must-Read)

1. Returns Policy

Returns are not free. If you change your mind, you will need to cover the return costs.

We can arrange collection from mainland UK addresses from £30. This fee is for the return service and must be paid in advance.

Once the goods are received back and inspected, a full product refund will be issued provided the items are:
returned in full, undamaged, unmodified in any way.

If the goods are returned damaged, incomplete, or altered, a refund may be refused. In such cases, it will be your responsibility to arrange collection of the items from our warehouse.

Offshore customers (e.g. Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, Channel Islands) must arrange their own return.

2. Beds on Wooden Floors

Beds may shift on hard flooring, which can stress or damage central support legs.

We recommend using non-slip pads or fixing the bed to the wall.

This is not considered a manufacturing fault.

3. Delivery Inside the Home

Our drivers are only contracted to deliver to your door or doorstep.

If invited inside, any damage caused is your responsibility.

We cannot accept liability for damage during in-home delivery.

4. Tall Beds (Bunks & High Sleepers)

Some models may need wall fixing for extra stability.

Brackets are supplied with all tall bed frames as standard.

This is common with tall or top-heavy furniture and is not a fault.

5. Cancelling After Dispatch

If you cancel after your goods have left our warehouse, a 50% charge may apply.

To avoid this, please accept the delivery and follow our return process instead.

6. Delivery Time & Access

Delivery times are not guaranteed and may start as early as 6.30am.If you’re the first stop, you’ll receive a text the night before.

We’re unable to offer specific time slots.

Failed or aborted deliveries are returned to depot and may incur a cost.

7. Property Damage During Delivery

If a driver is invited into your home, any property damage is your responsibility.

Please only allow access if you’re comfortable with this condition.

8. Natural Wood & Finish Variation

Solid pine is a natural material and may show knots, grain variation, or slight bowing.

Light sanding may be required as part of natural settling.

Painted finishes may vary slightly depending on the timber.

These are natural characteristics and not considered faults.

9. Mattress Colour

Mattress fabric colour may vary depending on stock availability.

The internal structure and quality will always remain consistent.

10. Offshore Returns & Refusals

Offshore customers are responsible for arranging safe return of goods.

If items are refused at delivery or returned to us, refunds will exclude original delivery and return charges.

11. Delivery Charges

Delivery fees are considered a service charge and are non-refundable.

If express delivery is selected and missed, a 50% refund of the express fee may apply.

If cancelled after dispatch or refused at the door, your refund will be less all delivery-related costs.

12. VAT & Local Tax

VAT is charged on all orders and is reclaimable locally (if eligible).

We do not participate in zero-VAT schemes.

You may be liable for local taxes or customs fees based on your delivery location.

13. Free Mattress Upgrades

Strictly Beds and Bunks reserves the right to upgrade your mattress order at no extra cost.

This will only happen when stock availability allows and the upgrade will always match or exceed the quality ordered.


Standard Conditions of Sale (General Terms)

A:Ownership of goods remains with Strictly Beds and Bunks until full payment is received.

B:All product dimensions are approximate and small variations may occur due to the nature of solid timber.

C:We reserve the right to cancel any order where there is an error in product information or pricing.

D:Warranty covers structural defects for 12 months (or 36 months if extended warranty is purchased).

E:Warranty does not cover misuse, incorrect assembly, or commercial use.

F:Assembly must follow the instructions provided. Incorrect installation may void the warranty.

G:Customers must check goods on delivery. Any missing or damaged parts must be reported within 7 days.

H:Product specifications, fixings or design may be updated or improved without notice.

🛠️ Warranty Details

Bedframes: 12-month warranty against manufacturing faults. Excludes general wear and tear or improper use.

Mattresses: Covered for defects in workmanship or materials for 12 months. A  Sagging mattress is not covered under a warranty as forms part of the use.

Faulty Item Claims: As our beds are made from natural solid pine, the appearance of knots, grain patterns, or slight markings is completely normal and part of the timber’s charm — not a defect. Pine is a softwood, so minor indentations can occur during handling or use. We’re unable to accept claims on this basis. However, you’re still welcome to return your item within 30 days if you’re not happy, in line with our returns policy.

Painted Beds: are hand-finished, which means you may still see natural timber features like knots and grain. You may also notice light indentations or marks — this is all part of the rustic, natural character. While you can return the item within 30 days if it’s not right for you, these features do not qualify as faults and cannot be returned as faulty.

  • Copyright: All rights reserved. No unauthorised use or distribution.
  • Website Safety: We aim to keep the site safe but cannot guarantee no technical issues or viruses.
  • Payment: All payments in GBP. Card checks and anti-fraud procedures may delay dispatch.
  • Delivery: Timescales are estimates, not guarantees. Please check all items before disposing of old furniture or booking fitters.
  • Order Acceptance: Order is confirmed only upon dispatch, not when placed.

    Returns accepted for unused goods in original packaging.Returns must be clearly labelled with your name and order number.

  • Mattresses must be unused and in original wrapping.
  • Returned goods must be securely packaged. Poorly packed items may be refused.

  • Courier refusals or failed deliveries due to packaging may incur deductions.

  • Refunds processed only when goods are received in saleable condition with completed return form.

🌍 Legal Jurisdiction & Compliance

Nothing in our Conditions of Sale affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (previously the Sale of Goods Act 1979).

These terms are designed to clarify our service but do not override your legal rights as a consumer.
